The bassoon is a woodwind instrument that normally plays music written in bass and sometimes treble clef. A Bassoon is normally used in groups such as orchestra's, concert band's and chamber ensembles. The Bassoon's tone quality originates from its reed construction. Due to the sensitive nature of this type of reed most band programs don't introduce bassoon until the second year of study.
The benefits of bassoon lessons:
- One to one lessons tailored to meet your specific needs.
- We teach proper hand position, posture and the correct habits that may impede a student's progress.
- Our students are introduced to bassoon literature written by composers for that instrument.
