Review for Angel C Maths (GCSE) tutor
“Angel helped me with GCSE maths as I really struggled with understanding a lot of the topics. She would explain them to me and was very patient with me when I didn't fully understand. When I didn't understand, she would find other ways of explaining it that would allow me to understand better. She would also go over and review topics so that I was more confident in them. She would also set homework which we would go through and mark together during our sessions. This was particularly helpful as it helped me understand where exactly I went wrong which helped me avoid making the same mistakes again.”

We vet all our Maths tutors carefully and interview each before they are listed on our platform. Every Maths tutor must have an enhanced DBS check to work with TeachTutti - this checks the background of the tutor and guarantees they are safe to work with children. Lesson rates are set by each individual Maths tutor and depends on their qualifications and level of teaching experience. Pricing also depends on the lesson length, with 30 minute lessons being less expensive than 45 and 60 minute lessons. As a general rule, the more expensive Maths tutors will be of a higher quality, such as possessing a "Toptutor" status. When searching for a Maths tutor, you can filter the pricing between a minimum and maximum amount you are prepared to spend.
You can learn where it suits you best: from home, travelling to the tutor, or virtually. Maths tutors can teach in all 3 locations or may select 1-2 so we recommend checking before making an enquiry. The aim of TeachTutti is to make tuition as flexible as possible for the student. For example, some students may prefer to learn online until they get to know their Maths tutor. You can also vary the teaching location when lessons are ongoing, such as if you're going away for work and want to have online lessons for the time-being.
A Maths tutor who is very experienced and well reviewed is given "Toptutor" status. It means they are one of the best tutors with TeachTutti and we recognise their quality by giving them greater visibility. Maths tutors are assessed every 3 months to award them or retain their "Toptutor" status. The criteria for "Toptutor" also includes punctuality with ongoing lessons, such as invoicing students for completed lessons in a timely manner.
