How lessons work with TeachTutti
Step 1 - Find a tutor
Choose the subject you want to learn in your tutor search, your location and where you want to have lessons - from your home, at the home of the tutor, or virtually. For example, you may want to have Piano lessons from your home in Westminster.
TeachTutti will show all tutors that match your criteria - you can further refine your search to only view Toptutors. View a tutor’s profile to find out more about them, such as their teaching experience and testimonials from current and former students.
Make your choice
Contact a tutor from their profile. Send a message to the tutor if you have any questions - we’ll email you as soon as the tutor replies. You can chat with your tutor through TeachTutti as long as you need.
Step 2 - Book your lesson
Click ‘Book lesson’ and choose a lesson slot from the tutor’s calendar. You will be prompted to create a payment method: you can pay by direct debit or debit/credit card (see our Payment Policy for full details). Your booking type can be "Fixed" or "Ongoing" depending on if lessons have a short-term goal (e.g. exam preparation) or a long-term focus (e.g. learning an instrument). Payment isn’t taken until the lesson has taken place.
When the tutor has confirmed the booking, the lesson will take place at the agreed date and time. We will send you a reminder one hour before the lesson begins.
Step 3 - Learn with TeachTutti
After the first lesson, tuition continues in a rolling four lesson block. If you don't want to continue and are not satisfied with the first lesson, a full refund is guaranteed provided you apply to TeachTutti within 48 hours of the lesson.
TeachTutti will continue to provide support and manage administration. You can learn with your tutor whenever you choose to and are not restricted to weekly lessons. You can change your default booking whenever you need and your tutor will invoice accordingly. For example, having a shorter lesson or in a different location.
