I recently graduated as an MPhil in Mathematics, and have been teaching and tutoring in mathematics and physics for 8 years. I teach primarily by discovery - encouraging the student to find their own path to solving a problem.

At my university I tutored small groups of up to 15 students and in private one-to-one sessions between 2014 and 2019. I specialise in A Level and undergraduate level, but have occasionally tutored at GCSE and postgraduate level. I have also demonstrated in mathematical computing, invigilated and scribed for exams, and marked coursework.

I teach primarily through examples from first principles, guiding the student to find the solution via their own method. I believe the discovery of the method for ones self is the strongest way to learn and develop a deep understanding.
