Hi, I'm a qualified EYFS and KS1 teacher with a passion for helping young children become happy, confident learners. I specialise in phonics, early reading, handwriting and building confidence in children aged 47.

I am a highly experienced Early Years and KS1 teacher with over 10 years of experience supporting children in developing confidence, independence and a love of learning. Throughout my career, I have worked with children across EYFS and Key Stage 1, helping them build strong foundations in phonics, early reading, writing, communication and maths through engaging and child-centred learning approaches. I am passionate about creating positive learning experiences that are tailored to each child's individual needs, abilities and interests. I understand that every child learns differently, and I pride myself on building strong relationships with children and families to help pupils feel happy, supported and motivated to succeed.

My teaching approach focuses on developing confidence alongside academic progress, ensuring children feel secure and encouraged in their learning journey. Alongside my classroom experience, I have also been part of the Leading Foundation Stage Teacher team for Lancashire, where I have contributed to supporting high-quality Early Years practice and development. This role has strengthened my knowledge of effective EYFS provision, early language development and play-based learning strategies that help children thrive both socially and academically. I am currently completing an NPQ in Early Years Leadership, further developing my expertise in leadership, child development curriculum design and best practice within Early Years education. I am committed to continuous professional development and staying up to date with current educational approaches and phonics teaching methods. My aim is always to provide engaging, supportive and enjoyable learning experiences that help children become confident, capable and enthusiastic learners.
