I have been teaching for quite a few years now: in fact, the philosophy of education and knowledge has been one of my lifes keen interests. I am currently writing a book on the topic. As I mentioned in my introduction, I have a unique approach to teaching, beginning with first-principles, always seeking to understand why things are the way they are, and building up knowledge in a systematic hierarchy on the foundations of clear and intuitive understanding. I also employ systems-thinking, making use of a big-picture approach, where we work down from the big idea down to the small details and parts. That way, you know why the subject is organised the way it is. Ultimately, I believe in teaching for the sake of understanding: and that from sound understanding exam success will naturally follow. If that educational philosophy appeals to me, get in touch!
As for my teaching experience, I have taught both private students one-on-one and also group classes, from GCSE to postgraduate level. I have experience designing and teaching my own tailor-made courses. I am currently teaching group classes in mathematics and English at both GCSE and A-Level.
