Welcome from Jack
I primarily teach maths and physics at the 14-18 range but am also a capable science and computer science tutor at GCSE standard. I like to teach in a way that really incorporates my students and to really focus on practice and review.

Teaching experience
I have been a tutor for four and a half years with a range of students from 9 all the way up to adult learners in their 20s. They have also had a wide variety of abilities from failing all the way up to A students who just needed that little extra push. This has primarily involved those sitting exams GCSE and A-Level and I have seen an average of two or more grades with most of my students. On top of this I have supported students with a wide variety of SEN conditions and I believe I offer a unique insight into teaching people with these needs as an autistic person myself. My approach to teaching is one that is student-driven and oriented in that I will always tailor my learning to what the student prefers. However I try to incorporate the Socratic method of teaching to those who already have a baseline understanding of the material and guided practice and demonstration to those who are less comfortable. This generally involves exam-style questioning and longer problem-solving sessions or long-form teaching with quick questions thrown in to gauge understanding.
