I am an enthusiastic natural teacher who hasn't yet been able to teach in a formal setting. During my A-levels and University degree, I helped my fellow classmates and students in lower years in the subjects I was studying.

During University, I taught the complex concepts of annuities and other banking concepts to lower-year students. This meant breaking down large subjects into easy-to-follow principles and bite-sized packets of information that built up to these scary-looking complex subjects. I love the look of realisation and appreciation that people have when you teach them a subject they thought impossible and show them not just that it's plausible, but it can be simple.

After University, I've been fortunate to help friends with learning Excel as well as breaking down financial principles. This has helped friends get adjusted to Excel and see if it's something that can benefit them in the future. Outside of academics, I've been fortunate to do a ski season where I helped some of my complete beginner housemates learn how to ski. This took a lot of falling and a lot of convincing, but now both of the housemates I taught can go down black runs with confidence. Albeit that I am still not the best skier in the world, it felt great to pass on these skills and see my friends be able to enjoy skiing.
