Teaching experience
I have previously been employed as a personal tutor for ages ranging between 6-16 and I have been a primary and secondary school teaching assistant. Over the years, I have assisted students in their GCSE preparation, including writing their personal statements for university applications.
My main focus in lessons is to target specific areas the individual is most struggling with and to form learning techniques to ensure they are comfortable with the skills and knowledge they need to understand the topic at hand with confidence.
My friendly and open nature makes me confident that I will be able to establish a trusting and relaxed relationship with students, so they can feel comfortable asking me any questions/concerns they may have.

My experience with Solene was during my GCSEs in order to help me with maths, her teaching style was a mixture of hard work and fun. Solene was very approachable, which made me feel more than confortable when asking for help with mistakes and even simply when I didnt understand the topic. The tutoring within itself helped me greatly, as she used visual learning aids such as: the use of objects to symbolise an equation e.g coins to explain fractions to me. This for me was extremely useful as Im dyslexic and find that I learn far better visually, so Solene tailored the session to help me with my person needs, which I cant say many other tutors have done for me in the past. Due to Solenes sessions I was able to obtain my maths GCSE to a good level, and would have no way been able to do so without her help. This then lead to me being able to study at university, which I owe to her, as I wouldnt be where I am today without those sessions. Im extremely grateful for Solenes tutoring and would recommend her sessions to anyone wanting to learn!
