I have been a tutor for the past 6 months and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I teach mainly primary school and I really enjoy the children and helping them gain confidence in themselves. I use a sustained style of teaching, such as active recall.

I have done my work experience at a primary school where I was able to overshadow teachers and help gain and understand my own style of teaching.

I teach from the ages of 5 - 12 and sometimes from 12 - 16.

At the moment I am helping students who will be writing their SATS.

The way I teach is by going through the child's weaknesses and making sure they fully understand the topic before moving on. I give them examples and go through them in detail and let them practice. I also use active recall methods, which have helped me remember the lessons in detail throughout my undergraduate in Essex and my Master's degree.
